Liebherr successfully developed the first heavy-duty offshore crane
It is reported by Liebherr-Werk Nenzing GmbH developed the first CAL 64000-1500 Litronic® heavy offshore cranes will soon put into operation.
The crane will be installed on HGO InfraSea Solutions' "Innovation" vessel to undertake the installation of the North Sea Global Tech I wind farm. The launch of the crane will enable Liebherr cranes to meet the increasing demands for high performance heavy lifting.
The CAL 64000 crane is by far the world's first heavy-duty offshore crane. Its important advantage is that despite its huge size, the crane can be positioned in a space-saving manner with a relatively small obstacle zone of 12 meters.
