EU introduces new regulations for tire labels
Recently, the European Commission introduced the relevant tire labeling regulations --EC1222 / 2009, with effect from November 1, 2012, requiring passenger car tire sold in the EU, light truck tires, truck tires and bus tires must be labeled to indicate their tires The level of fuel efficiency, rolling noise and wet grip, the goal is to reduce energy consumption in Europe by 20% by 2020.
According to TUV SÜD Group, which provides test and verification services, this regulation provides for the standardization of the tire's three major properties: fuel economy (ie, tire rolling resistance requirements), which is divided into 7 grades from A to G; The soil strength grades are divided into 6 grades from A to F; road noise grades are classified into 3 levels according to the specified test noise values: N≤LV-3, LV-3LV, and are represented by black labels. This reform puts forward new technical requirements for vehicles and adds components and equipment with advanced safety technologies.
