European woodworking machinery sales increase but still lagging behind

The woodworking machinery manufacturers in Europe have been struggling for the development of the company's production, but there is still hope for development.

Despite the economic recovery period of 2010 and early 2011, Buetfering realized that the sales of woodworking machinery have been at a relatively low level. However, the turnover of 7 billion euros in technology trade in 2010 was equivalent to 56.2% of the economic value created by the member companies of the European Woodworking Machinery Federation.

Buetfering also talked about trends in technology when he reviewed the woodworking exhibition at FIMMA Maderalia in Valencia, Spain. He believes that the development of technology, woodworking machinery has become different from before; the current energy consumption is 30% lower than the same efficiency standards. As automation levels increase, they will become more flexible. Now automation or "one person factory" has become a universal concept and is no longer a dream of the future.

Using the same standard specifications and a high degree of industrialization, even if the investment in technology is reduced and the production footprint is reduced, customers' expectations can be achieved. The high-end technology will be moved down to the low-end system. With simple operation, everyone has the ability to control the machine production. Or we can pay special attention to this situation. We do not need special carpentry craftsmen or experts. We only need an ordinary technician to complete the production at the push of a button. Maybe we have not yet realized this change.

Buetfering also talked about Ontario's safety review and Quebec safety standards that are of interest to other European woodworking machinery manufacturers exporting to Canada. The European Woodworking Machinery Manufacturers Association also announced that the Ukrainian Woodworking Machinery Manufacturers Association (UWMA) has also become one of its members. To accept UWMA, the European Woodworking Machinery Manufacturers Association has 14 member associations.
