An application for testing operator mobile networks

Authorities in Singapore want to use consumer's mobile phones to better measure the quality of telecom operators' mobile services, and hope to recruit 5,000 volunteers to download their mobile applications. The application will track the speed of mobile broadband, the network Coverage and any phone drop and congestion issues.
An application called MyConnection SG can be downloaded on Wednesday, which can be used for crowdsourced data from iPhone and Android phones. The trial will end on March 31 next year and the results will be announced later. Authoritative sources hope that this data will provide greater transparency to the consumer's mobile experience and urge the lagging telecom operators to cheer up.
