The rapid growth of coal production in Inner Mongolia strives to exceed 500 million tons at the end of the 11th Five-Year Plan period

The reporter recently learned from the relevant departments of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region that during the 10th Five-Year Plan period, the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region accelerated the structural adjustment of the coal industry, further strengthened the consolidation and rectification of coal companies, and achieved effective integration of coal resources and rapid growth of production. The total output exceeded 800 million tons, and the annual output of coal in 2010 at the end of the 11th Five-Year Plan exceeded 500 million tons.

According to reports, within the past five years, Inner Mongolia’s coal production has grown at an annual rate of nearly 50 million tons, of which the output in 2001 was about 80 million tons, in 2002 it was 114.5 million tons, in 2003 it was 150 million tons. It reached 203 million tons in 2004 and reached about 260 million tons last year. At present, Inner Mongolia has formed a relatively complete coal industry system based on coal production, washing and processing, diversified operations, comprehensive utilization and geological prospecting, design, scientific research and construction.

It is understood that during the 10th Five-Year Plan period, Inner Mongolia accelerated the pace of structural adjustment of the coal industry, eliminated backward production processes, closed small coal mines, and formed 10 state-owned key coal mine production areas, 4 national key construction mines, and 20 key regional coal production enterprises. . In the next five years, Inner Mongolia will gradually increase the efficiency of coal production and eliminate all small coal mines with low production capacity and low recovery rate. By 2010, the total number of coal mines will be controlled within 500 locations, among which small coal mines with an annual output of 450,000 tons or less will be controlled. Within 200 sites, small coal mines with an annual output of 300,000 tons (excluding 300,000 tons) are basically closed. By 2010, the level of mechanization of coal mining in Inner Mongolia will reach over 90%, and the annual production capacity of legally retained coal mines will reach 300,000 tons or more. Two annual output of more than 100 million tons and 4 annual output of 50 million tons will be completed. In the coal production base, the new mine production scale shall be no less than 1.2 million tons per year, and the open-pit mine production scale shall not be less than 3 million tons per year. The region's coal production capacity has reached 500 million tons, the proportion of coal washing has reached more than 60%, the on-site conversion rate of coal has reached about 50%, and the construction of 4 large-scale coal enterprise groups with a capacity of 50 million tons and seven coal mines with a capacity of over 10 million tons has been completed. .
