For the sustainable development of China's tire industry, and as soon as possible in line with international standards, the development of a tire labeling system is imminent.

MIIT pays attention to tire industry development

The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology also attaches great importance to the development of the tire industry. In 2014, in response to the green tire labeling system, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology commissioned the China Rubber Industry Association to carry out research on the development of green tire industrialization and the tire labeling system. At the end of last year, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology promulgated the "conditions for the entry of the tire industry," hoping to standardize the industry's production order, guide fair competition, and promote the sustainable and healthy development of the industry.

In the first half of this year, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology formulated the “Measures for the Administration of Announcement of Tire Manufacturers”, issued a notice on accelerating the application for announcements made by tire manufacturers, and promoted the implementation of announcement management in the tire industry.

In addition, from this year onwards, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has launched a special pilot demonstration event for smart manufacturing, and the pilot demonstration project of the tire smart factory has been listed as one of the first projects.

At the same time, in accordance with the spirit of the central government changing government functions, it has paid more attention to the role of industry associations.
