Dutch companies invest in marine spare parts 3D printing technology
A consortium of 27 companies has signed an agreement to promote the 3D printing technology for marine spare parts by the Netherlands Southern Development Association InnovationQuarter . The project is in cooperation with the Dutch port of Rotterdam and manufacturing technology parks RDMMakerspace be, this 27 joint enterprises from the four kinds of marine parts 30 kinds of spare parts in the original 3D printing is selected as the research object, these parts are in July and August fast molding production, testing in September.
The first results and 3D printed parts and spare parts will be displayed during the Port of Rotterdam Day in early September , and the final results will be revealed at the 3D printing technology conference held in Rotterdam this fall .
