Chongqing will become a CNG engine R&D site

Chongqing citizens will be riding on new energy buses with advanced “heart” technology. On the morning of the 13th, Chongqing Bus Group Co., Ltd., Chongqing Hengtong Bus Co., Ltd. and SAIC Fiat Red Rock Powertrain Co., Ltd. (abbreviated as “Shangfei Hong”) reached an agreement on the strategic cooperation for jointly developing energy-saving and new energy passenger car products. Shanghai Philippine Red will provide NEF series engines with an internationally leading powertrain system for Chongqing's future new energy bus products. Chongqing will become an important R&D site for CNG engine technology.

At the same time, the reporter also learned that Shang Feihong, one of the largest diesel engine manufacturers in China, will complete its engine project in the northern New Area on the 22nd of this month. The project covers an area of ​​about 270,000 square meters. The planned annual production capacity will reach 200,000 sets of diesel engines. Except for supply of red rock, 100,000 sets will be used for export.
