On May 26 this year, the Daoda Heavy Industry Offshore Wind Tower overall project was successfully installed, marking the development of the composite tubular foundation and overall installation technology for more than two years. In the endless Yellow Sea, more than 100 meters of wind towers stand in the sea, and the surrounding sea wind resources monitoring mission has begun.

Talking about this core technological achievement, Li Aidong, president of Daoda Heavy Industry Group, is analogously referred to as a “breeding” wind turbine at sea. According to reports, the traditional method of offshore wind power installation in the world generally adopts the method of step-by-step installation of blades, fans and towers. It takes more than one month from the beginning to the completion of a fan, which is costly, risky and difficult to construct.

The composite cylinder foundation and the overall installation technology will move most of the work on the sea to the land, and realize the one-time overall installation of the fan and the foundation, just like “planting the wind turbine” like “planting trees” at sea. In this way, the entire installation time of the entire wind turbine takes only 3 hours. More importantly, the wind turbines installed with this technology can be recycled after being demolished, which greatly reduces the construction cost of offshore wind farms and makes offshore wind power more scalable.

At the end of 2008, “Doda” and Tianjin University jointly established the Daoda Offshore Wind Power Research Institute and began to study a series of problems for the basic installation of offshore wind power.

This is a team of more than 20 people. It is led by young scientists, dean of the School of Architecture and Engineering of Tianjin University, and Ph.D. student tutor. Huang Xuanxu, vice president of Dao Da, is the vice president. All other members are doctors. In the past two years, for the shallow water area of ​​China accounted for more than 70%, and the sandy soft coast is widely distributed, the team has devoted itself to researching the solution for offshore wind power foundation construction and installation, and has tried hard.

In order to accumulate relevant data, “Doda” made a decision to apply the composite cylinder foundation and overall installation technology to the offshore wind tower project. During the test, the three experts of the institute and the builders of Daoda, with the biting cold wind, lived and lived in the water production base for one month and repeated tests 24 hours.
