Use of thenardite in printing and dyeing

(1) For dyeing cotton dyes such as direct dyes, when dyeing cotton with direct dyes, sulphur dyes, vat dyes and indomethacin dyes, then Glauber's salt can be used as a dyeing agent. These dyes are easily dissolved in the formulated dye solution, but are not easily dyed with cotton fibers. Since the dye is not easily exhausted, there are many dyes remaining in the foot water. The addition of thenardite reduces the solubility of the dye in water, thereby increasing the color strength of the dye. In this way, the amount of dye can be reduced, and the dyed color is deepened. 1. The amount of thenardite is determined by the coloring power of the dye used and the depth of the desired color. Do not add too much or too fast, otherwise the dye in the dye solution will precipitate, causing stain on the cloth surface. 2. When cotton fabric is dyed, Glauber's salt is generally added in batches 3-4. Because the dyeing solution is very thick before dyeing, if it is added quickly, the dye is dyed too fast, and it is easy to produce unevenness. It is necessary to join after time.
3. Glauber's salt should be fully dissolved in water before use, and can be added to the dyebath after filtration. It is necessary to stir the dye bath and slowly add it to prevent the dyeing agent that has not been melted from entering the dyebath. Black spot rickets, and prevent local dye baths from salting out due to exposure to a large number of dyes.
4. Glauber's salt and salt are commonly used as dyes. Practice has proved that in the direct dye dyeing, the use of Glauber's salt as a dyeing agent can obtain a vivid color. The effect of using salt is poor, which is related to the purity of salt. In general, industrial salts contain iron ions in addition to calcium and magnesium ions. Some dyes that are greatly affected by iron ions (such as direct turquoise blue GL) can cause shades of gray when using salt as a dyeing agent.
5. It is also believed that the price of salt is relatively cheap, and salt can be used for salt mirabilite. However, it is better to use light salt than salt, and salt is better for salt. Investigate which is appropriate and must be applied after the test.
6. The relationship between mirabilite and salt usage is roughly as follows:
6 points anhydrous Na 2 SO 4 = 5 points HaCl
12 hydrate Na 2 SO 4 . 10H 2 O=5 points NaCl
(B) for direct dye dyeing silk retarder direct dye application on protein fiber, silk dyeing is more, the dyeing fastness is better than the general acid dye. Some direct dyes also have excellent printability, so they are often used as dyed grounds for silk fabric printing.
Direct dyed silk is also often added with a small amount of thenardite, but the role of thenardite here is different from that of dyeing cotton, only as a retarding agent.
In the dye bath, the dye anion RSO 3 - can be directly dyed with silk. When it is added to the mirabilite, it will dissociate to produce sodium ion Na + . Due to the increase of sodium ion, the dissociation of the dye is affected; that is, because of the ion The equilibrium relationship of the reaction formula is affected by the Na + co-ion effect, which reduces the dissociation of the dye, so the dyeing of the silk plays a retarding effect.
2. The fabric after direct dye dyeing is generally treated with fixing agent Y or fixing agent M (about 3 ~ 5 g / liter, 30% acetic acid 1-2 g / liter, temperature 60 ° C) for 30 minutes, improve Finishing color fastness.
(3) For acid dye retarder When dyeing silk, wool and other animal fibers with acid dyes, sulfuric acid and acetic acid are often added to promote the coloration of the pigment acid, but also the Glauber's salt is used as a retarding agent.
Note: 1. When acid dye is used for silk or wool, if sulfuric acid or acetic acid is added alone, the production and coloring of the pigment acid in the acid dye is too fast, and it is easy to combine with the outer part of the fiber to form a precipitate, which does not easily penetrate into the fiber. Therefore, it not only causes staining, but also causes floating color and cannot withstand friction.
2. The addition of Glauber's salt can alleviate the production and coloring of the pigment acid, so that the dyeing is easy and uniform. Therefore, the application of the Glauber's salt with sulfuric acid or acetic acid can adjust the effect and achieve better results.
3. The principle of Glauber's salt as acid dye retarder is the same as that of the next salt.
4. If anhydrous mirabilite is used, the amount of crystallized montanic nitrate is reduced by half.
(4) Earth color protection agent for scouring of printed silk fabrics. When scouring or dyeing silk fabrics, the dye may be peeled off, so that the stained ground or other fabrics, such as the addition of thenardite, can reduce the solubility of the dye. There is no danger of contamination of the ground due to dye flaking.
